Information Technology - Software Solutions for Business

The application & software that are used to solved are:

  • Document Processing : using Microsoft Word 2010
  • Spreadsheet : Using Microsoft Excel 2010
  • Electronic Presentation : Using Microsoft Power Point 2010
  • Database: using Microsoft Access 2010

Web Design

For Web Design categories, participants will complete ability in designing and programming a website for client and server side. This competition will be divided into 4 modules:

  • Module A : Graphic Design Template
  • Module B : Front End
  • Module C : Animation
  • Module D : Back End

The software application will be used (select depends on your need) :

  • Adobe Dreamweaver
  • Adobe Flash
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Sound Forge
  • PHP
  • MySQL
  • PHPMyAdmin

Mechanical Engineering Design – CAD

Mechanical Engineering Design covers the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) technology in the preparation of graphical models, drawings, paperwork and files containing all the information necessary for manufacture and documentation of parts and components typical of solutions to mechanical engineering problems facing workers in industry. Solutions will comply with appropriate industry and ISO/DIN standard, latest issue.

Participants are allowed to use one of the related applications, i.e. (optional, appropriate expertise):
  • Autodesk Inventor 2010 (priority)
  • Autodesk AutoCAD
  • Mechanical Desktop 2009

Graphic Design Technology

Design Graphic category will compete ability in design graphic with related application, i.e. (optional) :
  • Adobe InDesign
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Acrobat

Information Network Cabling

In Information Network Cabling, participants will compete in ability of network cables installation. The competition have 2 types of competition :

  1. Online certificate submission or
  2. On-site competition
    The on-site competition will have the following modules :
    • Fiber Optic Cabling
    • Copper Cabling
The tools will be used are fiber Optic and Copper Cable and also their termination or splicing tool.
