ICPC Indonesia National Contest (INC) Rules

Introduction

ICPC Indonesia National Contest (INC) 2023 is a national programming contest that serves as the online preliminary round for Indonesian teams to advance to the 2023 ICPC Asia Jakarta Regional Contest.

Contest Rule
Overview
  • The programming languages used are C/C++, Java, and Python.
  • Teams are ranked according to:
    1. Most number of problems solved.
    2. If (a) ties, then by least total time.
    3. If (a) and (b) ties, then by the earliest time of submission of the last ACCEPTED problem.
  • Total time is the sum of the time consumed for each solved problem. It consists of time elapsed from the beginning of the contest to the first ACCEPTED solution, plus penalty for every non ACCEPTED solution for that problem.
  • Any non ACCEPTED solutions other than COMPILER-ERROR will get a penalty of additional 20 minutes. There is no penalty for COMPILER-ERROR.
  • Pre Contest
    • Contestants are not required to attend the practice session. However, the Committee suggests contestants to participate to become familiar with the contest environment.
    • All contestants from the same team are not required to be at the same location during the practice session and the contest.
    • Teams access the contest management system (DOMJudge) for the 2023 ICPC Indonesia National Contest (INC) 2023 through their designated self-prepared computer with internet access.

    Contest Time
    • The competition is scheduled for five hours. Committee has the authority to lengthen the contest in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
    • The number of problems in INC 2023 will be around 10 to 13.
    • There is no limitation about the number of computers each team can use to solve the problems in INC.
    • There is no limitation about team reference. Each team can use references from any source.
    • Each team must work independently without communicating with anyone outside the team members. If a violation regarding this rule is found, the team will be disqualified.
    • There will be no scoreboard freeze for INC 2023.
    • Clarification will always be open during the contest time. Contestants can ask anything related to the problem there.
    Post Contest
    • The top 40 teams*) and 5 Golden Tickets**) in INC 2023 will be announced several days after the contest. The committee will do some validity check to guarantee a fair competition from the contestants.
    • Teams that will advance to the 2023 ICPC Asia Jakarta Regional Contest are:
      • Top 40 teams in INC 2023*)
      • Top 5 teams in COMPFEST 15
      • Top 5 teams in Ideafuse 2023
      • 5 Golden Tickets**)

    *) There might be additional local teams invited to the 2023 ICPC Asia Jakarta Regional Contest based on the INC 2023 result (i.e., next best teams who have not qualified) to make 55 local teams.

    **) Golden Tickets are given to at most 5 top teams who solve at least 1 problem in INC 2023 and their institution is not in Top 40 INC 2023, Top 5 in COMPFEST 15, and Top 5 in Ideafuse 2023. Only at most one Golden Ticket will be given to each institution, and only the team with the highest rank in INC 2023 from each institution qualifies for the Golden Ticket.
