Asean Skill Competition (ASC) merupakan implementasi dari kesepakatan antara para menteri tenaga kerja ASEAN ke-10 di Singapura pada tahun 1994. Ini merupakan kompetisi ketrampilan tingkat ASEAN yang mengacu kepada kompetisi keahlian tingkat dunia (world skill competitions). Kedua kompetisi ini dilakukan 2 tahun sekali secara bergantian, untuk ASC setiap tahun genap dan WSC setiap tahun ganjil.

Setiap tahun, BINUS UNIVERSITY menyelenggarakan suatu perlombaan algoritma pemrograman yang ditujukan untuk para siswa Sekolah Menengah Umum di seluruh Indonesia. Perlombaan ini dikenal dengan nama BNPC HS (Bina Nusantara Programming Contest for High School Students). BNPC HS bertujuan untuk meningkatkan daya nalar dan kemampuan algoritma pemrograman para siswa SMU sehingga dapat memicu para siswa untuk mengenal Teknologi Informasi sedini mungkin.

The ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is a multitier, team-based, programming competition operating under the auspices of ACM and headquartered at Baylor University. The contest involves a global network of universities hosting regional competitions that advance teams to the ACM-ICPC World Finals. Participation has grown to several tens of thousands of the finest students and faculty in computing disciplines at almost 2,000 universities from over 80 countries on six continents. The contest fosters creativity, teamwork, and innovation in building new software programs, and enables students to test their ability to perform under pressure. Quite simply, it is the oldest, largest, and most prestigious programming contest in the world.

This year, Indonesia, represented by BINUS UNIVERSITY, has been appointed as one the Asia Regional Contest hosts. This is meant to give more chance to Indonesian college students to take part in the contest and get more experiences through such contest.

The contest will cover problem solving algorithm. Teams will be presented with set of problems that should be solved to meet the judges. solutions using C/C++/Java programming language. Below are links to some sample problems of such contests.

Setiap tahun ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest), yaitu kontes pemrograman komputer untuk mahasiswa diselenggarakan dibawah dukungan ACM (Association for Computing Machinery). Kontes ini diadakan di tingkat regional benua, dimana para pemenang dari tingkat regional akan lolos ke kontes tingkat dunia pada ICPC World Finals. Tahun ini BINUS UNIVERSITY akan menjadi salah satu penyelenggara ACM-ICPC tingkat regional Asia di Jakarta. Sebagai ajang persiapan bagi perguruan tinggi di Indonesia untuk mengikuti kontes tersebut, HIMPUNAN MAHASISWA TEKNIK INFORMATIKA (HIMTI) BINA NUSANTARA UNIVERSITY mengadakan perlombaan ACM-ICPC INDONESIA NATIONAL CONTEST 2008.

MATIC (Mathematics and Statistics Competition) merupakan kompetisi matematika dan statistika yang diselenggakan oleh HIMMAT (Himpunan Mahasiswa Matematika), HIMSTAT (Himpunan Mahasiswa Statistika), dan Fakultas MIPA Universitas Bina Nusantara.
